We surveyed a 100 women in rural Karnataka 

THE RESULTS?

78% women do not attend gram sabha

68 % women do not know who their panchayat members are

80% women have never tried to find information for official work (Scheme application, school documents etc)

Over 70 % women stated they find it hard to get local facilities taken care of
